Line-by-line read from video capture hardware.
This extremely simple Processing sketch takes input from a video capture source, scanning one line at a time until a complete image has been created (examples below).
This is a digital adaptation of work by Josh Pollen for the March 2007 exhibition of What They Could Do, They Did. Here, hardware scanners were treated by removing their casing, allowing them to be used as long-exposure short range cameras, in which the image is slowly developed as the scan head moves across the assembly.
